There are two lunatic brothers in my union that live together in an old house they inherited. The fire dept check it sometimessage because they are hoarders and do no maintenence.

I’ve worked in homes like that! It’s one reason why I refuse to go back to Service Plumbing.
There was one house where the floor was so rotted out the cast iron pipe was the only thing holding the toilet up.

Ouch. Actually looks reasonably well maintained, but at some point they are going to need to do something expensive to fix the foundation.

When I worked construction/remodelling I put a foot through the “floor” in more than once bathroom after removing tubs/vinyl/whatever
